Project Car - 1974 Triumph Stag Manual Overdrive

Due to engine issues this car has sat for many years in a storage shed. It’s an opportunity for a new owner to restore it back to life.

The body is straight and generally in good order with some very repairable rust. The right approach would be a complete bare metal strip and repaint.

The interior is in very good order and the car is complete with soft top as well as the removable hard top.

The options for the engine are to rebuild the existing engine however this will require replacing the cylinder heads, replacing it with another Stag engine, or even a repower with another suitable V8 such as the Rover 3.9 litre.

Whichever route taken, with the sought after manual overdrive transmission, the result will be a very satisfying touring car experience.

The Club believes in the right hands this car can be put back on the road to enjoy many more years of driving.
