Our Stag is a rust free car and in 35 years of ownership
no rust has been found.

 

We purchased 25th of March 1991.

 

Engine reconditioned December 2002 at 162,212 kms.

 

February 2009 New soft top and reconditioned framework
powder coated, fitted by an English Upholsterer.  The operation of the soft top works beautifully.

 

2011 Full exterior body paint

 

January 2024 New English wool carpet fitted replacing original carpet.

 

Carburettors checked for leaks, new seals and re-tuned.

 

January 2026 Reconditioned gearbox By Auto Gearbox Co Christchurch with 12 month warranty.

 

Practically all lights are now LEDs except headlights. Daytime running lights.

 

The last big trip we did was in March/April 2025 with the Stag Club and we went to the top of the North Island and back, around 3,800 km with a faultless run.

 

It has been said our car is one of the better original cars in New Zealand.
